Good Neighbors


Good neighbors is a positive program designed to teach people the tools needed to be a good tenant by focusing on providing essential skills such as communication, understanding rental agreements, timely rent payments, maintaining the property, and resolving disputes. 


This program includes workshops , practical tips , and resources to help tenants create a positive relationship with landlords and ensure a smooth rental experience. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate that recognizes their knowledge and readiness to the responsible, reliable tenants. This certification can also be valuable when seeking future rental opportunities.

Certified Mediators


We have certified mediators on staff, available to assist with resolving disputes between tenants and landlords. They have completed the proper training and exams to resolve conflicts and can assist with negotiations and solutions. Our team can offer private mediation services or support you through the court process if needed.

Call to Connect
Free Financial Literacy Training for Low to Moderate Income Families in New Jersey

The Economic Development Committee of the NJ NAACP has partnered with S.T.E.P.S to provide free Financial Literacy training for Low and Moderate Income families throughout New Jersey. This targeted and comprehensive program is designed to provide NJ residents with the skills and knowledge that will allow them to make informed decisions with all of their financial resources. Our overall objective is to give those trained the tools so that not only doesn’t the month last longer than the money but that they can begin to plan toward homeownership and aspire to higher levels of education.
